Reports to the Senior Financial Reporting Manager / Associate Director
The purpose of this position is to account for a varied portfolio of fund structures in conjunction with the Senior Financial Reporting Manager / Associate Director.
What you'll be doing
Lead a small team of accountants in delivering provision of services for various clients’ fund and corporate structures
Managing clients, deliverables and capacity of the team to ensure that deadlines are adhered to and clients are serviced to a high standard
Review the bookkeeping and all aspects of accounting matters for a limited portfolio of fund and corporate structures incorporating complex consolidations, investor and management reporting, statutory financial statements and ad-hoc investor queries
Attend client board meetings and present financial information
Manage and review the completion of audit queries
Act as a higher authority on day-to-day accounting queries and act as 4-eyes signatory on accounting matters, ensuring that company policy and professional and regulatory guidelines are adhered to and that a professional quality of service is provided to clients and external contacts
Act as a 4-eyes signatory on client payments, ensuring that company policies are adhered to
Review the preparation and reconciliation of periodic direct and indirect tax returns, and liaise with tax advisors
Supervise and assist in the training and development of staff
Arrange and manage the performance and appraisal process for members of staff
What we're looking for
Demonstrable industry experience supported by a relevant professional qualification (ACCA or ACA)
Sound technical financial services knowledge, Real Asset experience is advantageous but not essential
Computer literacy, word processing and spreadsheet skills are essential
Previous people management responsibility, experience of leading a team, coaching and mentoring staff
Evidence of accounting responsibility for a client relationship or a significant part of a major client relationship
