About this role:

The AML Analyst will deliver a range of support and consultation services in the areas of risk mitigation, quality control, compliance, and anti-money laundering. This position will serve as the subject matter expert supporting team members to ensure compliance with various regulations related to the Bank Secrecy Act.Key Responsibilities:

Engage in various BSA operations including AML investigations, SAR filing, CTR filing, customer risk rating, high-risk customer surveillance, enhanced due diligence (EDD) processes, special investigations, and OFAC compliance.

Investigate and assess alerts relating to potential money laundering risks in the organization.

Ensure efficient identification and monitoring of activities and transactions considered suspicious.

Ensure timely and efficient reporting of transactions considered suspicious.

Assists in the development and review of BSA processes and procedures.

Assists with requests for independent audits and regulatory exams as well as delivering BSA/AML/OFAC related training to all areas of the organization as needed.

Prepares monthly reporting to Board on BSA/AML Activity.

Serve as administrator for the BSA/AML automated software which includes provisioning, controls, parameter settings, testing, and validation to ensure effectiveness to identify suspicious and fraudulent activity.

Identify, monitor, and complete reviews for higher risk customers as identified in the Enhanced Due Diligence Program.

Handles more complex investigations and investigates suspected cases of activity related to money laundering, terrorist financing, and tax evasion. Collaborates with Fraud Team on case management.

Conducts suspicious activity report (SAR) investigations, prepares documentation, makes recommendations to the SAR Committee, prepares and submits SARs, performs filed SAR review for SAR filing on continued activity.

Ensures accuracy and timely filing of CTRs in accordance with regulations and time limitations.

Assume additional responsibilities and lead special projects as assigned.

Who you are:

Minimum of 4 years of related AML experience in the Financial Services industry.

Familiarity with Verafin or other BSA/AML software a plus.

CAMS or other related certification a plus.

Strong project management and data analysis skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to create effective presentations using Microsoft Office for reporting to management.

Ability to work both independently and with team members across lines of business.

Familiar with banking laws and regulations.

Thorough knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, etc.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary/hourly range for this position is $64,272.00 - $80,340.00, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential incentives. This position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus. If you are hired at USALLIANCE Federal Credit Union, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part is any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package.
