Qualifications:
Engineering Degree preferred
3+ years of experience in wire harness design with Siemens NX (3D routing and drawing packages ).
Knowledge of Mars or lunar robotics, human spaceflight, CubeSats Programs
Strong understanding of aerospace or automotive electrical design standards (e.g., NASA-STD-8739.4, IPC/WHMA-A-620).
Experience with space-rated or high-reliability wire and connector systems (e.g., MIL-Spec, D38999, M22759, etc.).
Experience with EMI/EMC design
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and ICDs.
Proficient in generating harness drawings, layout diagrams, and cable schedules.
Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environment.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop 3D models of wire harnesses and routing in Siemens NX to support rover and subsystem integration.
Interpret and create electrical schematics, connector pinouts, and harness drawings compliant with aerospace standards.
Collaborate with team to ensure design alignment across vehicle subsystems.
Select and specify aerospace-grade wiring components, connectors, backshells, and protection (sleeving, shielding, etc.).
Generate BOMs, and documentation packages for harness fabrication and integration.
Support design reviews, interface control documents (ICDs), and verification activities for electrical integration.
Coordinate with suppliers and in-house technicians for harness builds, troubleshooting, and flight hardware validation.
Maintain configuration control and revision management of harness designs and supporting documentation.
