We're Hiring: Senior FinOps Engineer Cloud Cost Optimization Hybrid/Onsite
Join a high-impact team focused on driving financial visibility and operational efficiency across enterprise cloud environments. We're looking for a Senior FinOps Engineer to lead cost governance and optimization across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-prem infrastructure.
What You'll Do:
Act as a FinOps subject matter expert, working cross-functionally to implement hybrid cloud cost optimization strategies and frameworks
Analyze cloud spend trends and provide actionable insights, reports, and KPIs to stakeholders across engineering, finance, and operations
Identify savings opportunities and partner with teams to adopt right-sizing, auto-scaling, reserved instances, and idle resource cleanup
Use cloud cost management tools (e.g., Turbonomics, Datadog, Azure Advisor, AWS QuickSight, Snowflake) to monitor, report, and recommend improvements
Collaborate with finance teams on budgeting and forecasting, and track variances to ensure alignment with targets
Build automation, dashboards, and documentation to scale FinOps practices and establish a cost-conscious engineering culture
Develop anomaly detection systems and executive-ready reporting for leadership visibility into financial performance across cloud platforms
What You Bring:
5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, FinOps, or a related technical field
Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Groovy) or Linux/Unix systems
Strong background in cloud cost optimization and cloud architecture best practices
Familiarity with tools like Snowflake, Wiz, Datadog, Azure Advisor, AWS Cost Explorer, or Google Cost Management tools
Advanced Excel or data analysis capabilities for financial modeling and reporting
Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical and financial concepts to diverse audiences
Experience developing FinOps processes, policies, and performance indicators
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field
FinOps Practitioner Certification
AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate certification
Location: Onsite or Hybrid (based on team location)
