Software Development Engineer
Join Philips and contribute to the development of our Philips Image Management solution, designed to support various stages of the radiology workflow. This solution offers a scalable Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) that operates both locally and remotely, catering to hospitals and related institutions. It manages the archiving, distribution, retrieval, and display of images and data from hospital modalities and information systems.
Your role:
You will play a key role in creating innovative software modules and systems in complex and advanced environments.
You will be part of Radiology Informatics
You will design, implement, integrate, and test high-quality systems, components, or modules according to requirements and timelines, while adhering to software development standards and methodologies.
You will undertake complex development and prototyping tasks, understand market needs to translate them into implementation requirements
You will work across multiple projects, and foster domain knowledge, innovative thinking, and collaboration both locally and globally.

You're the right fit if:
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering/ Computer Science
You have 4+ years of software development experience in C++ and object-oriented design
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a good level of English
You have a sense of urgency and are proactive in the way you search for answers and solutions to the challenges you encounter
You have experience in backend development i.e. architecture design patterns, infrastructure, networking, availability, reliability etc. (preferred)
You have experience in managed languages such as C#/.NET Core or Java (preferred)
You are familiar with DICOM standards (preferred)
You have experience with the healthcare industry (preferred).
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
This role is an office role.
