CNC Operator - 2nd shift

CNC Machine Operator â 2nd Shift (2 PMâ 10 PM)

Location: Kings Mountain, NC

Pay: $22.00/HR

Assignment Length: 3-month contract with possibility of extension to 6 months

Schedule: Mondayâ Friday, 2:00 PMâ 10:00 PM (OT may be required)

About the Role:

Personnel Services Unlimited is hiring a CNC Machine Operator for a top manufacturer in Kings Mountain, NC.

This is a 2nd shift (2 PMâ 10 PM) contract position lasting 3 months, with potential to extend to 6 months. Youâ ll primarily run a CNC Hob machine and assist with Broach/Shaper machines as needed. Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities Include:

Set up and operate CNC Hob machines; assist with Broach and Shaper machines as needed

Perform first-piece checks and make machine/tool adjustments for accuracy

Monitor production quality using gauges, micrometers, calipers, and inspection tools

Follow blueprints and job specifications, including tolerances and basic GD&T

Record production data, troubleshoot defects, and document rejections

Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE

Maintain a clean and organized workspace (5S) and participate in lean manufacturing efforts

Support cross-training and preventative maintenance activities

Job Skills and Requirements:

High School diploma or GED

Prior CNC machine operating experience required

Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and follow control plans

Familiarity with basic CNC functions (X/Y/Z movements, tool offsets, touching off tools)

Strong math skills, including unit conversion (mm to inch)

Proficient in using micrometers, dial calipers, and gauges

Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand for extended periods

Oracle experience is a plus (for inventory transactions)
