Title: Systems Administrator

Position Summary:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of critical IT systems, including Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Windows Server environments, and enterprise networking. A key focus will also be on maintaining high security standards, supporting compliance initiatives, and proactively addressing potential threats across the enterprise IT environment.
This position reports to the Supervisor, Systems Administration, and is based out of an Everstream office.
Primary Responsibilities:
Administer, support, and maintain desktop hardware, laptops, and mobile devices for internal users.
Manage and support Salesforce user access, data integrity, workflows, and third-party integrations.
Maintain Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and security compliance center configurations.
Configure, monitor, and support Microsoft Windows desktop and server environments.
Perform system patching, vulnerability mitigation, and configuration hardening across servers and endpoints.
Administer Active Directory, including GPOs and authentication services, ensuring secure access and identity management.
Support virtualization infrastructure (VMware or Hyper-V) with a focus on secure provisioning and host integrity.
Troubleshoot and manage network services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs), identifying and addressing security risks in connectivity.
Deploy and manage endpoint protection tools, monitoring antivirus, EDR, and firewall software for policy compliance.
Conduct regular reviews of system and security logs to detect and respond to anomalies or unauthorized access attempts.
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to implement best practices in cybersecurity across systems and endpoints.
Participate in the preparation and response for SOC audits, ensuring accurate documentation and timely evidence collection.
Assist in the design and enforcement of security policies, standards, and incident response plans.
Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity in case of outages or breaches.
Minimal travel may be required for data center visits, site deployments, or support at remote office locations.
Required Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in systems administration, desktop support, and IT infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce and Office 365 administration.
Strong foundation in Windows Server environments and Active Directory management.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols and services.
Experience with basic security tools such as endpoint protection, firewalls, and vulnerability scanners.
Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 35 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM-201) or equivalent preferred.
Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or other relevant Office 365 certification.
Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or similar.
Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001.
Experience supporting SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit readiness, including documentation and evidence management.
Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and Windows/Linux server administration.
Familiarity with EDR/XDR platforms, SIEM tools, MFA, conditional access, and data loss prevention (DLP) tools.
Strong understanding of information assurance, risk management, and endpoint security.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical details to non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and maintain operational excellence under pressure.
