Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to play a key role in the management, optimization, and modernization of a multi-server network. This position requires expertise in network engineering, system administration, and Linux command-line operations to support a secure and resilient infrastructure. The ideal candidate will collaborate across teams to enhance network performance, implement best practices for system compliance, and contribute to long-term design strategies. Additionally, this role involves account management, troubleshooting, and ensuring adherence to Secure the Enterprise (STE)/Secure the Network (STN) and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain and support a multi-server network with network engineering, system administration, and Linux command-line expertise.

Ensure network operational health and perform comprehensive troubleshooting.

Lead technical initiatives across organizations.

Support network design and infrastructure modernization efforts.

Ensure compliance with STE/STN and RMF requirements.

Manage user accounts and access controls.

Qualifications

Required:

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree + 8 years of relevant experience, OR

Master’s degree + 6 years, OR

Associate’s degree + 10 years, OR

High school diploma/GED + 12 years.

Degree in: Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, IT, or related field.

Experience in network/system administration and one or more of the following:

Computer or information systems design/development

Programming

Cybersecurity, vulnerability analysis, or penetration testing

Computer forensics, information assurance, or systems engineering

Experience managing virtualized infrastructure across multi-node and multi-site networks.

Proficiency with Linux and Windows (command-line required).

Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

Preferred:

Experience with Computer Network Operations (CNO).

Development experience is helpful but not required.

Clearance: TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.

Location: Fort Meade, MD

Anticipated Annual Salary Range: $155,000 – $177,000Benefits
