Job Description

ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – the fund-raising organization of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – is currently looking for a Web Software Engineer III in Memphis, TN as follows.

Provides technical leadership across an enterprise platform in order to ensure effective design, development, integration, and deployment of ALSAC web applications. Within an Agile work environment, provides leadership for the transformation of user stories into product structure and features/functionality that reflect appropriate software design with consideration for system inputs/outputs, processing logic, application interfaces, performance, security, and acceptance criteria. Works effectively with IT, Product, and QA teams throughout coding, unit testing, integration testing, security testing, and load testing in order to support the continuous development/integration, deployment, and delivery of our applications. Position based in Memphis, TN and requires in office presence.

Position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and three (3) years of technical, analytical, systems and programming experience -- OR -- a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field followed by five (5) years of technical, analytical, systems and programming experience.

Experience must include three (3) years with each of the following:

third party databases, libraries, interfaces, and internet protocols;

Internet software engineering principles and techniques, including web servers, HTML authoring, web infrastructure; knowledge of Linux, Windows, Java, JDBC, Java Script, CSS, JSP, PL/SQL, XML, Apache, Oracle, Git, SQL Server, MySQL, OpenShift;

Spring Framework - Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security;

web technology skills, AJAX, UNIX-Shell Scripting, WebLogic;

Internet hardware, software and firewall set up; and

eBusiness, eCommerce, and eMarketing techniques.
