Brooks Automation is undertaking a highly compressed development program to develop a new Semiconductor Factory Automation solution for an advanced packaging node transition. This program requires development, testing, and production release of numerous new technologies and capabilities related to mechatronics, image processing, particle contamination control, systems testing, and cost management.

The program requires multiple disciplines in mechatronics, optical image processing, AI analytical solutions, dynamic modal analysis, high speed imaging capture, systems engineering testing, and reliability analysis. Candidates should have demonstrated expertise in pertinent areas related to any of the necessary disciplines and can creatively work to develop solutions to high value problems. Brooks Automation offers the creative engineer an opportunity to excel while developing and demonstrating leading edge solutions in the Semiconductor Factory Automation marketplace.

To support this project, Brooks is looking for a Software Engineer to be a key team contributor.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

· Design and develop embedded software solutions, spanning precision motion control, sensor integration, and mathematical algorithms.

· Champion best practices in embedded software engineering, ensuring scalability, reliability, security and adherence to industry standards.

· Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to integrate advanced technologies such as machine vision and machine learning into embedded systems.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

· Computer Science or Computer Engineering Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of software development experience in relevant industries.

· Proficiency in C++ and C# .Net, with expertise in design patterns for runtime configuration of large scalable software.

· Proficiency in Python used for test scripts.

· Experience building multi-threading applications, network communication, and instrumentation.

· Demonstrated experience in integration of external devices.

· Experience in customizing embedded Linux systems using BitBake and Yotco Project.

· Fluency in UML for Object-Oriented Analysis/Design, including state machines.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Exposure to real-time operating systems and microcontroller units (MCUs) preferred.

· Built robotics and motion control solutions preferred.
