Join our team as a Data Reporting Software Engineer and drive innovation with cutting-edge technologies!

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms Team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting software solutions, emphasizing innovative Business Intelligence and technical problem-solving. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

**Job Responsibilities**

+ Develop secure, high-quality production code; review and debug code written by others, utilize data visualization platforms to support comprehensive dashboard creation.

+ Identify opportunities to automate or eliminate recurring issues, enhancing the operational stability of software applications and systems, while optimizing dashboard functionality to streamline data analysis and reporting.

+ Lead evaluation sessions with stakeholders and internal teams to deliver value with an emphasis on insights, key indicators and other metric formulas results to allow them to make data driven decisions.

+ Contribute to our partner engineering communities and participate in exploring new and emerging technologies.

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**

+ Formal training or certification on Java development concepts and 5+ years applied experience

+ Experience with data wrangling tools for efficient information retrieval and analysis from time series and relational databases.

+ Experience with data analytics toolsets like Splunk and Alteryx or Cortex, and knowledge of data visualization products such as Grafana and Tableau.

+ Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python, PowerShell, REST, XML, JSON, and database querying languages such as SQL.

+ Proven hands-on experience in high volume data systems design.

+ Understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**

+ Experience with end-to-end log analysis tools such as Splunk, FluentD, or similar platforms.

+ Proficiency in coding with Ansible, PromQL, and data manipulation using Pandas.

+ Familiarity with Windows and RHEL operating systems.

+ Expertise in best practices for collecting metrics and logging data from Windows and RHEL systems.
