Job Description
Local company seeking an experienced tool and die maker with on-site customer service experience. Must be a team player with 5 years of experience with progressive stamping dies, preferable fin stamping dies (HVAC).
Job Responsibilities Include:
Perform and assist with sharpening, diagnosis, repair, and changeover of stamping dies both in house and at customer locations.
Inspect parts and tooling to determine if they are in accordance with prints/work orders.
Work from blueprints and sketches to create or modify tools, dies, and jigs.
Requirements/skills:
Ability to read micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, blueprints, and drawings.
Ability to safely operate a variety of tool room equipment (i.e. forklift, lathes, drill presses, mills, grinders, etc.)
Ability to follow verbal/written instructions and practice good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to define problems, troubleshoot, and draw valid conclusions.
Education:
Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Completion of Tool and Die Apprenticeship Training
Preferred:
Journeyman’s Card
Post high school training/Associates Degree
Seven years of tool and die experience
This is a full time, 1st shift, position with a flexible schedule. Some second shift may be required while at customer locations to work around manufacturing schedules. Travel required within the US, Canada, and Mexico.
