Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating production equipment under immediate supervision in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. This role ensures quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met and customer requirements are satisfied.

Responsibilities

Perform duties in accordance with current Quality Management System and Safety Management System requirements.

Operate manual production machinery and equipment.

Read and interpret job orders, diagrams, and blueprints to select, position, and secure machinery and materials.

Load, unload, lift, and move materials and products utilizing lifting equipment when available.

Complete and maintain all associated electronic processes and paperwork including bar-coding, checklists, stamping, blueprints, shipping/receiving documents, accessory lists, and scanning of materials.

Perform pre-shift preventative maintenance.

Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.Essential Skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Basic math and reading comprehension skills.

Ability to read a tape measure.

Ability to read, speak, and understand English.

Proven experience demonstrating safe and effective operation of required equipment.Additional Skills & Qualifications

GED or High School Diploma preferred.

Less than one year of experience in construction or manufacturing.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work is conducted in a manufacturing environment on the 1st shift from 5:00am to 1:45pm with a 45-minute lunch. The dress code requires full-length pants of sturdy material, and steel-toed boots are necessary but not provided. Safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety sleeves are provided. The environment is non-temperature controlled, and personal protective equipment must be worn.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Dimas, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
