We are seeking a passionate and adaptable interpreter to support a student who is learning both English and American Sign Language. This unique role combines both teaching and interpreting to ensure the student receives full access to their education.Job Details:

Location: Portland, IN

Position: Full-Time, Contract

Caseload: One-on-one support for a student learning English and ASL

Responsibilities:

Provide sign language interpretation in educational settings

Instruct and reinforce ASL concepts to support student learning

Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure student success

Adapt communication methods based on students evolving language skillsQualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

Experience working with students in educational settings preferred

Ability to instruct and interpret simultaneously
