Job Title: 2nd Shift Material Handler

Job Description

As a 2nd Shift Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the production departments are fully stocked with the products and materials needed to fulfill orders efficiently. This role involves maintaining the flow of merchandise between warehouse and production locations using equipment such as lifts, motor vehicles, and pallet jacks. You will stock raw goods inventory into warehouse locations, assist with the organization of picking aisles, and perform quality control measures to ensure that quality-checked merchandise is available to the production departments as needed.

Responsibilities

Receive Purchase Orders (POs) into the ERP system from outside vendors.

Scan tickets into the ERP system and produce labels.

Physically unwrap cartons, visually inspect parts, and reconcile POs for count and quality.

Bag, inspect, and label finished parts.

Perform regular replenishment requests by processing receipts and putting parts away into stock locations.

Pick parts from inventory locations and perform cycle counting.

Maintain inventory accuracy through physical and system inventory audits.

Load and unload delivery trucks to ensure that each incoming delivery matches the PO.

Identify missing or damaged products from orders.

Transport materials using handcarts, Standup Forklifts, and company vehicles.

Drive replenishment product/materials between multiple warehouses.

Actively participate in problem-solving, process improvement, and assist team members in completing daily tasks.

Maintain organization and cleanliness of warehouse locations, ensure accurate labeling, verification, and troubleshoot discrepancies.Essential Skills

Ability to read and count accurately and perform basic math.

Skill in operating material handling equipment, such as a standup forklift.

Adaptability and flexibility when encountering problems.

Effective communication skills for reporting discrepancies.

Problem-solving skills and ability to implement solutions.

Ability to follow instructions and comply with all safety regulations.

Attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, and persistence.

Ability to work overtime as needed.

Fluency in English for speaking, reading, writing, and understanding.

Forklift experience and certification.

Knowledge and experience with an ERP system.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Forklift certification is strongly preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
