Job Description: Assembler

Job Summary

The Assembler plays a vital role in safety and efficiently assembling products according to work instructions and quality standards. Utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, and specialized equipment, the Assembler contributes to the overall manufacturing process and ensures product quality.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Perform assembly and testing functions in a manufacturing environment, using mechanical and electronic tools, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment.

Interpret blueprints, engineering orders, assembly routes, test specifications, and quality directives to produce and inspect assemblies that meet product specifications.

Record test results using electrical equipment and flow measurement devices, interpreting data and identifying malfunctions for rework as instructed.

Adhere to safety rules, maintain a foreign object damage (FOD) free work area, and ensure proper calibration of equipment.

Conduct visual inspection.

Essential Skills & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

1-3 years of industry-related experience in assembly and testing in a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrate product and process knowledge, with the ability to apply it to new techniques.

Strong mechanical reasoning and the ability to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.

Ability to interpret blueprints and measuring devices.

Requires advanced knowledge of hydraulic, electric system, highly skilled in the use of all hand tools, electric, and air power.

Safety & Environmental Factors:

All employees are expected to adhere to the company’s safety policies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This role involves working under extreme hot or cold conditions and requires the physical ability to stand for the entire shift, use hands for various tasks, ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Team members must occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
