Laughing Planet is a locally owned and operated quick-service restaurant company with locations in Nevada, Washington, and Oregon. We offer fresh, quality, nutritious food that is affordable and strive to provide a great experience for our guests and team members. We are currently hiring for Team Lead positions, at our seven Portland Metro locations.

The ideal candidate should:

Be positive and team driven

Have kitchen experience and willing to cross train

Have basis knife skills

Have flexible availability including weekends

Have a sense of urgency

Have financial literacy/Understanding of the basics behind controllable costs

Have excellent cash handling skills

Be an awesome Human looking to grow with the company

When it's your shift, It's your Restaurant

We want you to feel an ownership of the restaurant. You, after all, are one of the faces of the restaurant in the community you serve. You'll sometimes be the one that guests and employees come to with questions, comments and concerns. You'll be the one filling the role of Manager during times when you've been scheduled as the MOD. You'll be the one we are developing to be the next Manager! You will be the one. The Managers, and Team Leads at any Laughing Planet location wear a lot of hats. Whether you're working a management shift or not, you are the one that sets the tone - nurtures the culture and drives the results.

You re always on-stage. Even when you re not the MOD.

The team will look to you for answers. Sometimes you may not have an answer and that's okay. Saying I don't know is courageous. But find the answer.

Directing personalities is hard work, especially considering you will be managing your own as well.

Time management is key. Being where you're needed, when you're needed will decide your success

Run the numbers, control the controllable costs (labor & inventory) during your shifts. Know what proper portioning looks like and where to allocate the labor.

Mentor, coach and teach the ways of the restaurant.

Actively listen. The staff needs to be heard.

Be the voice of reason.
