The Amaro Law Firm is a well-established and nationally recognized Plaintiffs law firm based in Houston, Texas. For over 20 years, we have been dedicated to helping the injured and wronged in personal injury, insurance claims, and mass tort litigation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Report directly to Controller
Support Controller and accounting team with daily accounting tasks
File and record check deposits in client electronic files and case management software
Mail checks and perform in-person bank deposits
Assist Bookkeeper with month-end close processes
Communicate with vendors and process payments
Understand client expense recording in QuickBooks
Maintain knowledge of Trust Accounting principles
Assist with QuickBooks data entry and report generation
Utilize QuickBooks for client expense ledgers and bill payments
Support check verification calls from banking institutions
Record client check deposits within 48 hours of receiving deposit slip from Controller or Bookkeeper
Enter client invoices into QuickBooks Online within 48 hours of attorney approval
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of Accounting Experience
Minimum 1 year of QuickBooks Online experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in a law firm setting, preferably personal injury
Trust accounting experience preferred
Bachelors degree preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Proactive thinker with strong problem-solving skills
Do-anything attitude with willingness to take on diverse tasks
