Wurzak Hotel Group is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and results-oriented General Manager to lead the award-winning Sheraton Reston Hotel in Northern Virginia. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven operator to take full ownership of an amazingly cared for asset and elevate performance across all key areas—from guest experience to profitability to team culture.
We are looking for a confident, hands-on leader who understands that strong culture is the foundation of sustained success. The ideal candidate is someone who leads by example, drives accountability, and knows how to develop a team that takes pride in delivering exceptional hospitality every day.
What You’ll Own:
Full operational leadership of a flagship Marriott property in a high-visibility market
Delivery of an exceptional guest experience, financial excellence, and brand performance
Responsibility for cultivating a strong, positive culture that fuels engagement, retention, and results
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Strategic & Operational Leadership
Execute a clear, results-oriented business strategy aligned with brand and ownership goals
Drive strong P&L performance through cost controls, productivity, and top-line revenue growth
Ensure operational excellence across departments with a focus on consistency and efficiency
Guest Experience
Promote a guest-first mindset at every level of the organization
Proactively monitor guest feedback to drive service improvements and elevate already strong GSS performance
Culture & Team Building
Hire, coach, and retain top talent who embody the values of excellence, respect, and integrity
Foster a team culture grounded in trust, accountability, recognition, and collaboration
Create an environment where team members feel empowered, supported, and motivated to grow
Financial & Brand Accountability
Deliver on key performance metrics: GOP, flowthrough, RevPAR, B/C revenue, and more
Maintain compliance with brand standards, audits, and quality assurance guidelines
Sales, Visibility & Community Engagement
Partner with Sales and Revenue teams to capture new business and grow market share
Represent the hotel with credibility and enthusiasm in the community and industry networks
What You Bring:
Proven experience as a successful General Manager or senior hotel leader in an upscale, full-service environment
A strong track record of driving both financial performance and guest satisfaction
A leadership style that blends decisiveness with empathy, and discipline with inspiration
A passion for developing talent and building a positive, performance-oriented workplace
Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic planning skills
Marriott experience strongly preferred
