We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our FE_Energy team in Houston, TX.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

Participates in the supervision of projects, in regards to the completion of:

Review and compilation of project specifications and procedures, engineering schedules, assignment of resources and estimated costs

Preparation of design concepts, including calculations, layouts and prototype testing of components, assemblies and equipment

Preparation of design layouts for assemblies and components

Preparation of engineering details and drawings, using Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems

Preparation of Bills of Materials and Engineering Specifications or other detailed documentation to record design requirements

Ensures that design details are cost effective, conform to customer requirements and company standards. Verifies and validates work done by Drafters and Design Engineers.

Organizes and supports administrative functions, of the department, including order review, design review, and project team meetings.

Oversees the technical activities of engineers, designers and drafters, and takes responsibility for accuracy and completeness of engineering work outputs.

Provides training and direction for engineers, designers, and drafters, in the execution of their assigned duties.

Assists engineering management in the training, development, and motivation of engineering personnel

Adheres to company and department policies, procedures, and standards

Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent training and experience required.

Good interpersonal, communication, analytical, and computer skills

Eight (8) years experience in the design of rotating equipment

Mechanical design (3D models) and drafting skills (2D drawings); Experience with NX preferred by not Required

Working knowledge of ANSI and ISO Drafting Standards

Mastery of engineering concepts and application principles, of all core products, or has demonstrated related equivalent experience
