Job Title: Machine Repair Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Repair Technician to perform maintenance and repair on stamping presses and injection molding equipment. The candidate will be responsible for visiting customer sites to assess and fix machinery issues, including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and general industrial maintenance. This position primarily involves working with stamping presses and injection molding equipment during the 1st shift.

Responsibilities

Perform machine repair on stamping presses and injection molding equipment.

Respond to customer calls for general mechanical machine repair.

Conduct assessments and repairs on hydraulic, pneumatic, gears, motors, and wiring systems.

Perform general industrial maintenance tasks.

Travel to customer sites to address machinery issues.

Collaborate with a sister company on rigging or moving equipment.Essential Skills

Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics.

Strong troubleshooting skills.

Experience in mechanical repair and industrial maintenance.

Familiarity with stamping press and injection molding equipment.

Competency in machine repair, including working with motors, gears, pumps, and sprockets.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Possession of a CDL is a plus.

Journeyman Machine Repair certification is desirable.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position operates on a 1st shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for longer days if customer needs arise. Overtime is available, with daily OT for hours over 8 and double time for 12+ hours in a day. Currently located downtown, the company will be moving to a new location at 36th and 131 in the next year, bringing both companies under one roof.

This is a Permanent position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $83200.00/yr.

401K HEL currently matches contributions up to 5% of gross wages and a discretionary profit sharing contribution. Level of employer matched contribution can change at the company’s own discretion. Eligibility requirement of 6 months of employment and 21 years old, enrollment dates of 7/1 and 1/1.

Health Insurance – Employer and employee contribution. HEL offers health insurance through Blue Care Network. Premiums for the employee and family are currently 85% covered by the employer. The first $1,000/single $2,000/family of the deductible is also covered by the company. Prescription coverage is also included at varying copays per plan rules. HEL is not promising that it will cover 85% of the premium indefinitely, however, that is the current program.

Dental Insurance – Employer and employee contribution. HEL offers dental insurance through MetLife. Premiums for the employee and family are currently 85% covered by the employer.

Other Insurance - Employer Paid. -Life insurance coverage of $20,000, with reducing benefits past age 65. -Accidental Death and Dismemberment is per schedule. - Spouse life insurance $3,000 - Child life insurance $1,500

PTO PTO is paid at 8 hr. per day. First year PTO schedule Q1=5d / Q2=4d / Q3=3d / Q4=2d Year 2 (First Full Year) = 10 days Year 3-5 = 10 days Year 6-9 = 15 days Year 10 = 20 days Unused PTO is paid out annually.

Cellular Phone This will be an employee owned phone with a reimbursement at $60 per month. Cell phone benefits are paid after 90 days.

Full-time
