Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to set up, operate, and maintain 3 cutting machines on the 2nd shift. These machines are not CNC Mills or Lathes but would be comparable to lathes. The successful candidate will perform tasks including setting up machines, changing over tools, performing quality inspections, and replacing bearings. Mechanical aptitude is essential, as well as proficiency in using measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.
Responsibilities
Set up and run 3 lathe cutting machines.
Operate overhead crane to load cart with tubes and load each machine.
Adjust and set machines with proper lathe settings, including servo and flume.
Conduct quality checks on parts every 30 minutes using micrometer, caliper, and plug gauge, making necessary adjustments.
Troubleshoot lathe cutting machines and perform maintenance tasks such as replacing chucks, changing out cutting tools, and replacing bearings.Essential Skills
Experience with CNC lathe setup and operation.
Proficiency in quality inspection and the ability to read and use micrometers and calipers.

Work Environment
Work on the 2nd shift from 1 PM to 9 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours until 11 PM or on Saturdays from 10 AM to 3 PM when needed. Our manufacturing setting involves screw machines, welders, assembly lines, paint equipment, and testing equipment. The facility is highly automated, featuring a variety of robotic and automated cells, with operators feeding equipment for assembly, and is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and equipment upkeep.

The pay range for this position is $45344.00 - $45344.00/yr.
