Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

Job Description

Join a leading oil and gas company specializing in the manufacturing of plastic and rubber components to support downstream operations. We are seeking skilled CNC Mill Machinists capable of operating one or more CNC or manual machines to fabricate production parts according to print specifications and quality standards. This role involves learning to operate CNC machines, including FANUC and MAZAK, under supervision to fabricate plastic parts.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC or manual machines to fabricate production parts to print specifications and quality standards.

Perform set ups, programs, and operate VMC mills (Haas or equivalent) to machine plastics, metal, and rubber components.

Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, setup requirements, and production rates.

Program parts and set controls to regulate machining factors such as feed, speed, pressure variables, and coolant flow.

Ensure a safe and correct production process by running a dry cycle before actual production begins.

Implement new methods of setup, process, and manufacturability using the latest technology.

Report production rates and process changes to management for router updates and provide production rates for quote purposes as requested.Essential Skills

Minimum of 3+ years experience performing edits and setups with familiarity in g codes and m codes.

Experience working with 4-5 axis and +/- 1/2 in .0001 tolerance.

3-5 years of experience on either FANUC or MAZAK.

Ability to perform set ups and operate CNC machines independently.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in a manufacturing and production environment.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean, orderly, and climate-controlled manufacturing and production setting. Candidates should expect occasional exposure to hot and loud conditions. Safety is a priority, with required PPE including safety glasses and steel-toe boots. The position offers first shift hours from 6 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts. There is also a second shift from 4 PM to 12 AM, with occasional Saturday shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of HUMBLE, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
