Controls Engineer – PLC & Robotics Programming

**DIRECT HIRE**

We are seeking an experienced Controls Engineer with expertise in PLC programming, robot automation, and system commissioning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation, with a focus on designing, programming, and launching control systems for manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and program PLC systems, with a focus on Allen-Bradley (AB) and Siemens PLCs.

Program and configure industrial robots (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, KUKA) for automated processes.

Lead or support commissioning activities, including system installation, debugging, and on-site start-up of automation systems.

Integrate PLC controllers, robotic systems, and HMI interfaces into cohesive automation solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control panels, I/O systems, sensors, motors, and other automation components.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers.

Create and maintain technical documentation such as electrical schematics, ladder logic, and control panel layouts.

Required Qualifications:

Strong proficiency in PLC programming using Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.

Experience in robot programming (preferably Fanuc, ABB, or KUKA).

Hands-on experience with commissioning and system start-up in manufacturing or industrial settings.

Knowledge of machine integration, control logic, and automation safety standards.

Ability to interpret and create technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control system documentation.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
