**Description**

Fabricates and assembles a variety of different assemblies and supporting hardware, applying knowledge of assembly techniques, and using precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. Reads and interprets blueprints, work orders, and related documentation to determine method and sequence of operations and dimensional and finish specifications. Assumes responsibility for maintaining accurate inventory.

Essential Job Functions:

• Assemble and calibrate production parts.

• Follows assembly drawings, customer ATP’s and work instructions to build product to requirements.

• Fills out necessary paperwork, including travelers, pull sheets and forms for shipments.

• Lifting of materials (min 30lbs) and test manifolds.

• Mix ingredients, primers, adhesives and sealants according to specifications.

• Trim, drill, ream, grind, sand and finish parts using templates and hand tools.

• Assure compliance with customer specifications and requirements including shipping details.

• Meet customer and NMG goals of quality, OTIF and costs.

• Proficient with E10 transactions, including but not limited to issuing of material and operations.

• Meet NMG goals of quality, OTIF and labor standards.

Additional Duties:

• Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide.

• Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned.

• Must remain current with, and complete all required training as assigned.

• Must adhere to Company Corporate EHS Policy and department, occupation, and task specific safety protocols, including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.

SHIFTS:

1st and 2nd

1st shift

• (1) position will be for 1st Shift (Packboards Department)

o Hours will be 6:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday – Thursday and 6:00 am to 10:00 am Friday

o This position will require standing for most of the day

o This position will be working with larger assembly parts

2nd shift

• (1) position will be for 2nd Shift (Gauge Department)

o This position will have an additional $2.00 shift differential

o Once training is completed hours will be 2 pm to 12 am Monday – Thursday

o This position will be working with small gauge assembly of parts

Qualifications:

• Experience using tools, machines, or your hands to create products or components

• 1-2 years of manufacturing assembly experience preferred

• Good interpersonal skills.

• Team and individually goal-oriented.

• Experience with Continuous Improvement.

Education:

• High School diploma or GED.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
