Material Handler -- Forklift Operator

Job Description

We’re seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to support efficient fence yard operations. You’ll be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials using forklifts and ensuring a safe working environment.

Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of lumber and building materials against purchase orders

Label, identify, and store materials in assigned locations to maintain efficient warehouse organization

Pick, pack, and stage outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timely order

Maintain inventory records, conduct cycle counts, and report discrepancies

Keep work areas and equipment safe

Adhere strictly to all safety and OSHA regulations

Qualifications

Proficient in basic mathematical concepts

Must be able to operate a forklift

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Proven experience (1–2+ years) in material handling, warehouse, or lumber yard environments

Excellent communication, active listening, and teamwork abilities

Commitment to safety and compliance with workplace standards
