Job Title: Fixture Designer Location: Greenville, SC Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Assignment Duration: 12–18 months Work Environment: On-site only Must be a US Citizen Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Fixture Designer to support manufacturing operations through the design of custom work holding solutions, jigs, tooling, and in-process models.
This role is critical to enabling precision machining, assembly, and inspection processes across complex projects in a high-performance engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:Design machine tool work holding solutions for various machining applicationsCreate in-process models for use by programmers, manufacturing engineers, and other stakeholdersDesign jigs, gauges, assembly tooling, production aids, and 3D printed polymer componentsProvide technical support during fixture builds and integrationInterpret and apply engineering drawing requirements with strong GD&T understanding (ASME Y14.5M-2009)Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and function of all designs Qualifications:High school diploma required (preferred: associate’s or bachelor’s in engineering or related technical field)Minimum 5 years of experience in fixture and tooling designProficiency in NX CAD and familiarity with PLM systemsDemonstrated knowledge of hydraulic clamping systems; pneumatic systems experience is a plusStrong working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards This role is ideal for a hands-on designer with a passion for solving real-world manufacturing challenges and supporting advanced production workflows.
