client is seeking a highly experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee QC operations on a federal design-build project involving a $20 million hangar paint booth installation at Warner Robins Air Force Base.
This is a critical on-site role requiring deep knowledge of federal construction standards and a proven track record of managing complex QC programs.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and implement the Three-Phase Quality Control System in accordance with USACE/NAVFAC standards.Ensure compliance with all federal contract specifications, drawings, and safety regulations.Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to maintain quality standards.Conduct preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.Maintain and submit all required QC documentation and reports.Interface with government representatives and inspectors.Identify and resolve quality issues proactively to avoid delays or rework.
Qualifications:5+ years of QC experience on federal construction projects (USACE, NAVFAC, or similar).Solid tenure with previous employers; preference for candidates with long-term roles.Experience with design-build projects and hangar or industrial facility construction is highly desirable.Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 and other federal safety and quality standards.Strong communication, documentation, and leadership skills.USACE CQM-C certification (or ability to obtain prior to start).Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
