Network Engineer

Position Title: Senior Network Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 7+ Months (Contract to hire) Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with hands-on expertise in designing and managing modern enterprise networks.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Arista fabric switching, Juniper wireless, and SD-WAN technologies (Versa preferred), along with solid protocol knowledge (BGP required). This role involves architecture, implementation, and operational support across both traditional and software-defined network infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise networks using Arista fabric switchingImplement and manage SD-WAN solutions (Versa strongly preferred)Configure and support Juniper wireless solutions across distributed environmentsAdminister and troubleshoot routing protocols with a strong focus on BGP and OSPFSupport network segmentation strategies, including multi-VRF configurationsImplement and manage Network Access Control (NAC) using 802.1x port authentication (Forescout or Cisco)Provide medium-level firewall administration, preferably with FortinetUtilize Splunk for monitoring, queries, and dashboard creation to support network observabilityWork with cellular routers such as CradlepointContribute to network automation efforts using Python, Ansible, and other scripting toolsParticipate in documentation, troubleshooting, change control, and ongoing optimization Preferred Qualifications:Hands-on experience with Cradlepoint cellular routersFamiliarity with Splunk query writing and dashboard developmentExperience with Forescout NAC or equivalent 802.1x solutionsWorking knowledge of Fortinet firewalls (medium proficiency expected)Exposure to route segmentation and multi-VRF architectureProficiency in Python, Ansible, and scripting for network automation and orchestration Soft Skills:Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearlyCollaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentDemonstrated growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning and improvement Requirements:5+ years of enterprise networking experienceProven expertise in Arista, Juniper, SD-WAN (Versa), and BGP routingExperience in scripting and automation using Python, Ansible, or related toolsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
