The IT Director is responsible for leading and managing all information technology operations for a growing small to midsized organization with approximately 150 - 200 users across three primary offices and multiple satellite locations.

This role requires a hands-on approach to IT infrastructure management, cybersecurity oversight, and 24/7 technical support coordination.

Responsibilities: Infrastructure ManagementDesign, implement, and maintain hybrid IT infrastructure combining on-premises and cloud solutionsManage Microsoft Windows server environment including Active Directory domain controllers, print servers, application servers, and backup systemsOversee Hyper-V virtualization environment with Veeam backup solutionsMaintain and support Inductive Automation Ignition SCADA systemsManage all network infrastructure including routers, switches, and access points across multiple locations Cloud Services & Microsoft 365 AdministrationManage Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and TeamsOversee user provisioning, licensing, and access management for 150 - 200 usersImplement and maintain security policies within Microsoft 365 Security platformsCoordinate SharePoint document library management and OneDrive backup strategies Network & Connectivity ManagementManage Starlink satellite internet connections at field locationsOversee Verizon private IP cloud connectivity via IPSec tunnelsManage large fleet of cellular routers at numerous field locationsCoordinate with ISPs and manage network performance across all locations Cybersecurity & ComplianceDevelop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity policies and proceduresConduct monthly security awareness training programsCoordinate weekly external vulnerability assessments and penetration testingManage Bitdefender GravityZone XDR deployment across all endpointsOversee Arista NG firewall appliances and security monitoringMaintain SSL certificates and DNS management Mobile Device & Communications ManagementAdminister IBM MaaS360 MDM platform for approximately 200 company devicesManage Verizon wireless account with phone linesCoordinate mobile device procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management Surveillance & Physical Security SystemsManage numerous security cameras across multiple locationsMaintain NVR server installations at each locationResponsible for camera installation and cable management Vendor & Contract ManagementNegotiate and manage IT service contracts and vendor relationshipsOversee copier/printer service agreementsManage Samsara fleet management service Coordinate software licensing and compliance across all platforms Operations & SupportProvide 24/7 technical support including after-hours and weekend coverageLead office relocations and technology infrastructure setupManage IT equipment procurement and asset lifecycleCoordinate backup and disaster recovery operations using Veritas Backup Exec and cloud solutionsMaintain Synology NAS systems QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldProven experience (typically 7+ years) in IT management and infrastructureExpert-level knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments and Active DirectoryProficiency with Microsoft 365 administration and security platformsExperience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware)Strong networking knowledge including routing, switching, and firewall managementFamiliarity with backup solutions (Veeam, Veritas Backup Exec)Experience with MDM platforms and mobile device managementKnowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practicesUnderstanding of SCADA systems (Ignition experience preferred)Proven ability to manage IT operations independentlyAbility to develop and implement IT policies and proceduresExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills for user support and stakeholder interactionAbility to provide technical training and documentationFlexibility to provide after-hours and weekend support as needed WHAT CAN WE OFFER YOU: Competitive compensation PTO package and paid holidays 401K with Company Match Comprehensive Benefits Package-Including Medical, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Account, Dental, and Vision Employer paid life insurance and disability coverage Team Oriented Culture- A collaborative environment where your ideas are valued XRI is an equal opportunity employer.
