Job Title: Firmware Component Qualification Engineer Job Description: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Firmware Component Qualification Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in firmware testing, integration validation, and debugging in Linux-based and embedded system environments.
Key Responsibilities: • Perform debugging and issue triaging in Linux-based environments.
• Validate and integrate firmware subsystems.
• Work hands-on with firmware components such as: • UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) • EC (Embedded Controller) • PD (Power Delivery) • GOP (Graphics Output Protocol) • GFW (General Firmware) • Collaborate on coreboot and open-source firmware development.
• Conduct validation workflows for next-gen (n+1) BSP (Board Support Package) and bring-up of early silicon (VOJ, ES). • Utilize embedded firmware testing tools and methodologies.
• Debug and solve problems across hardware and firmware layers.
• Script in Python and Bash to aid in test automation (preferred but not mandatory). Required Skills: • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in firmware subsystem testing and validation.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and hardware interactions.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line tools.
• Experience with BSP validation and early silicon bring-up.
• Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash) for test automation.
Preferred Qualifications: • Hands-on experience with coreboot and open-source firmware tools.
• Exposure to low-level firmware components and hardware interfacing.
