is seeking a seasoned and technically focused Senior Associate Architect to support and oversee our production team in Davie, Florida.
We specialize in high-end custom residential estates and selective commercial projects throughout South Florida.
All construction documentation—including architectural, structural, and in-house MEP plans—is produced under one roof by our dedicated team of drafters.
As Senior Associate Architect, you will act as the critical link between the principal architect and drafting staff.
Your core responsibility will be maintaining the quality and accuracy of all plan sets, providing real-time guidance to drafters, and ensuring smooth coordination between disciplines.
You will also engage with clients directly through conceptual design development and project meetings, contributing both technical and design leadership from start to finish.
What Success Looks Like You’re the person the drafting team relies on for technical clarity, coordination issues, and design feedback.
You review and redline plans across all disciplines, uphold drafting standards, and support project flow via Asana task tracking.
You maintain momentum while ensuring design and code accuracy, and you build trust through clear communication with both internal staff and clients.
Responsibilities • Review architectural, structural, and MEP construction documents for accuracy, code compliance, and coordination • Oversee MEP integration and quality in coordination with internal drafters • Mark up and redline plan sets throughout project development • Answer technical questions and provide clear direction to drafters • Maintain and enforce firm-wide drafting standards and consistency • Collaborate with the principal architect on design execution and documentation • Develop conceptual design packages and early-stage presentations for clients • Participate in client consultations and project meetings • Use Asana to organize, assign, and track drafting and production tasks • Support project delivery by ensuring timelines and expectations are met across departments Experience • 7 to 12+ years of professional experience in architecture, with a focus on construction documentation and team coordination • Florida experience is required, including familiarity with FBC, ADA, and local permitting • Strong knowledge of high-end residential and light commercial design workflows • Proven experience in MEP coordination and technical plan integration • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required • Familiarity with Asana or similar project/task management tools • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills • Previous experience in a mentorship or leadership role within a design team • Spanish speaking is a plus • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, or equivalent professional background Compensation and Benefits • Starting at $40+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications • Paid time off (PTO) and observed holidays • Long-term leadership opportunities with room for growth • Work directly with the firm’s lead architect in a collaborative environment • Team culture focused on precision, professionalism, and architectural excellence How to Apply Submit your resume and portfolio (PDF or link) to or to this LinkedIn job listing (preferred).
