Android Developer Location: Irving, TX (MUST be local / Onsite Mon - Friday Duration: 12 months Rate: W2 ONLY ( NO C2C or 3rd parties please) As a Senior Android Developer, you will be responsible for developing mobile apps and user interface components using native technologies like Kotlin and Java.

We are looking to migrate existing applications to the latest applications.

You will coordinate with backend teams working on microservices and database components and develop tools for other teams to use.

A commitment to collaborative problem-solving, design, and quality products is essential.

Skills & ResponsibilitiesMobile Development: Develop new products/features for mobile that adhere to best practices, are easy to understand, and efficient.App Migration: Migrate existing Android apps to be compatible with multiple screen sizes.Architecture Enforcement: Enforce clear architecture across the ecosystem and present to stakeholders.Application Profiling: Profile applications to fix memory leaks and scaling issues.Unit Testing: Write unit test cases to maintain code coverage.Technical Requirements: Define technical requirements needed to develop products/features.Solution Design: Architect and design technical solutions and implement them.Hybrid User Experience: Deliver a hybrid user experience that is easily portable between web and mobile.Innovation: Explore, assess, and prototype new technologies to drive innovation and problem-solving.Collaboration: Partner and collaborate with stakeholders and other technology teams.Open-Source Solutions: Identify and analyze open source/market solutions.Technologies: Primarily focus on native Android development in Kotlin/Java; React NativeBackend Interaction: Experience with AWS, MongoDB, and REST endpoints.

Basic QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology.Experience: Total of 7+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years in mobile application development (native Android development, React Native).Technical Skills: Experience with offline storage, threading, performance tuning, RESTful API integration, and Android design principles.Development Practices: Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).Lifecycle Understanding: Clear understanding of application lifecycle on native Android platforms.Responsive Development: Experience with responsive web/mobile development.
