The Network Operations Center (NOC) Network Administrator will provide operations support to an important government customer in Washington D.C.

The Network Administrator is responsible for providing onsite support for ensuring infrastructure availability that meets established SLA and performance metrics to a level acceptable to the government customer.

The NOC Network Administrator will provide management and support to vendor- and technology-diverse networks and infrastructures.

This position is part of a highly technical team responsible for 24x7x365 support of a worldwide network containing over 2,800 networking devices that include switches, routers and wireless access points.

The position also supports several network management systems that monitor the availability of the different layers of the IP stack (Devices, applications, interfaces, etc.) running in the environment.

Responsibilities:Provide alarm monitoring/response, any needed escalation and resolution of incidents and mentoring of junior analysts through incident resolution process.Troubleshoots network systems when necessary and makes improvements to the network.Take technical lead of critical network incidents and drive internal and external resources in troubleshooting effortsProvides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignmentsImplement, install, configure, operate, and maintain a range of network operations tools and applications to include Cisco WLAN, Cisco ISE NAC and Zscaler.Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performanceAdvanced troubleshooting and support all operational security requirements for network devices and network operations tools and applicationsAdvanced troubleshooting and support of the following NOC functional areas that include, but are not limited to:Wireless LANInternet Protocol (IP) address managementDomain Name Server (DNS) administrationUnderstand dynamic multipoint VPNsStrong written and verbal communication skillsEstablish plans and goals for self and Analyst that meet the customer current or future projects’ needsPrepare or participate in preparing NOC performance reports as requiredMonitor, create, edit, and enforce all standard operating procedures, processes and timelines Required Skills/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience10 years of experience in IT support or related field, preferability in network engineering or operations4 years of experience providing network support in one or more of the following areas:Wireless Access Point (enterprise level) Management and AdministrationCisco ISE 3.0 (or later) configuration of access/authorization policiesCisco CCNA certification, should have the ability to obtain the following within 120 days of the start date or as mutually agreed upon by the SupervisorExperience troubleshooting and resolving high-level LAN/WAN network incidentsExpert CCNP level switching/routing/troubleshooting in lead technical role including OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, VRRP, HSRPExperience with Server Administration ideally in the Cloud environmentKnowledge and understanding of Software-defined (SD) networking, including SD-WAN technologiesMust be a U.S.

Citizen and pass the DHS Employment Eligibility Verification process Preferred Skills/Experience:Experience using and managing SPLUNK search headsExperience in Windows 2016, 2022 and/or Linux server administrationExperience using SD-WAN technologiesImplementing Cisco SD-WAN Solutions v2.0 (300-415)AWS Certified Solutions Architect – AssociateMicrosoft Azure Networking Solutions (AZ-700)CompTIA Cloud+Cisco CCNP Security certificationJuniper JNCIA-SEC certificationExperience administering and supporting Zscaler Zero Trust PlatformAbility to obtain Top Secret/SCI security clearance if required
