Job Description: The Client Strategic Silicon Solutions Business Unit, Power Firmware and Systems Engineering Team is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Firmware and Systems Engineer to join our growing team where past products include game consoles such as the PS5, Xbox Series S/X, Steam Deck, and more.As an IP Systems Engineer, you will drive the planning, validation, silicon bring-up and debug of System Management and Power Management IP as well as contributing to development of related firmware for forthcoming Client Semi-Custom SOC programs.As a key contributor to the success of Client’s IP, you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance Client’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry leading technologies to market.The Power Firmware and Systems Engineering team fosters and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.

Key Responsibilities:Execution of tests and test scripts in manual and automated environments on silicon test platformsTest script development and execution for pre and post-silicon firmware environment using PythonDeveloping and maintaining automated test frameworkDevelopment and testing of firmware designed for an embedded microcontroller in CDebugging and supporting of IP hardware and firmware issues found during pre-silicon, bring-up, validation, and production phasesHelping to define and execute the overall hardware/firmware functional test plansParticipating in collaborative technical discussions to drive resolution on technical issuesDriving technical innovation to enhance Client’s capabilities and processes in IP hardware/firmware validation Requirements:Demonstrated ability to grasp new technical concepts quicklyComprehensive knowledge of C and scripting languages, especially PythonStrong analytical/problem solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcel in a dynamic team working environment, especially one in a global setting Assets:Experience with IP/system level bring-up, ASIC debug techniques and methodologiesExperience with System Management and Power ManagementExperience with silicon and system debugging toolsGeneral understanding of Assembly languageWorking knowledge of Linux-based operating systems and technologiesIn-depth knowledge of system architectures and conceptsTechnical understanding of Graphics, Display, Multimedia, PCIe, Security and/or IO architecture & designExperience in Doxygen or other SW Documentation generator toolsExperience with emulation or other pre-silicon validation toolsExperience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.Experience with object oriented programmingFamiliarity with Git Education:Bachelor, Master's or PhD degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering, or related degrees TekWissen® Group is an equal opportunity employer supporting workforce diversity.
