Job Title: Senior Java Architect Location: McLean, VA (5 days onsite) - Local candidates only Duration: Long Term Interview Mode: In-Person interview Job Description: Works on an Agile product team to design, code and test the overall technological architecture of the product with the help of the team.

Works with the team to ensure commitments to the sprint are delivered in line with expectations of time and quality.

Constantly looking for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid of challenging the status quo.

Build using modern design patterns and architectural principles.

Responsible for both unit and integration tests and develop automation tools for daily tasks as well as the development of high quality, well documented, and efficient code.

Provides resolutions to an extensive range of complicated problems.

Solutions are innovative, thorough, and practicable.

Works under limited direction Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.

Work is evaluated upon completion for adequacy in satisfying objectives.

Represents the organization as the principal customer contact on contracts and often performs project leadership role.

Interacts with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters frequently requiring coordination across organizational lines.

• Build Micro Services based solutions using Java/JEE frameworks, Docker and Open Shift or AWS managed Kubernetes.

Newly created Micro Services will replace legacy Java/JEE monolithic applications.

• Support what you build, which includes providing fixes to production defects.

Quickly evaluate defects, investigate cause, and come up with solutions to remediate.

• Support building Micro Services practice within the team.

• Build UIs using Angular, CSS/SCSS and HTML Qualifications: Minimum 15+ years of experience in Information Technology.

Senior Java Architect with expertise in developing applications using Java (version 15 or above), SpringBoot, MicroServices Architecture, JUnit and Angular 12+. Need someone with good experience in databases such as SQL (Required) and Relational DB (PostgreSQL, or DB2, or Oracle, or Similar). Need someone with good experience in Jenkins, Docker/OpenShift and AWS Cloud.

Need someone with strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to work well with a variety of personalities.

Someone with Financial/Mortgage industry BG is highly preferred but not required.
