The Logistics Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing logistics data to identify trends, improve processes, promote automation and support decision-making.

This role involves collaborating with various teams to enhance logistics efficiency and drive performance through data-driven insights.

This position is based on-site in Hillside, New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities: Collect, clean, and analyze logistics data from various sources to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement.Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders in an understandable manner.

Consolidate cost and rates in a historical database.Collaborate with logistics teams to develop and implement strategies for enhancing efficiency and effectiveness based on data insights.Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure logistics performance and success.Work closely with cross-functional teams including logistics, finance, and IT to support data-driven decision-making processes.Utilize statistical and analytical techniques to forecast logistics trends and inform strategic planning.

In particular, calculate and budget the number of containers needed based on unitsMaintain and optimize databases and data systems to ensure high-quality data availability and integrity.Perform ad-hoc analysis to support various projects and initiatives as needed.Train and learn new reporting tools to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s DegreeAt least two (2) years of experience in data analysis, ideally in logistics, manufacturing, retail, inventory, or wholesale; relevant logistics experience may be considered in place of some data analysis experience.Proficient in data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, Power Query) and data visualization tools such (Tableau, Power BI, Crystal Reports).Familiarity with programming and scripting languages used in data analysis, such as Python or Excel VBA.Solid understanding of database querying, data transformation, and reporting techniques.Knowledge of ERP systems and data warehousing concepts.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.Clear and effective communicator with the ability to work independently or in a team; able to interpret instructions, ask the right questions, and present complex information clearly.Desire to thrive in scenarios of team-based work or independent tasks, always looking to learn more and take initiative on many unique projects and tasks.
