Role Summary We’re seeking a driven and technically adept junior OPS engineer to join our WLAN testing team.
This role focuses on hands-on testing, analysis, and development across a wide range of Wi-Fi standards, security protocols, and mesh/extender technologies.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and run test beds for WLAN standards.
Validate security protocols: WPA2, WPA3, and 802.1XWork with Wi-Fi extenders/mesh, implementing protocols like 802.11k and 802.11v.
Develop test strategies: performance, throughput, stability, and stress testing.Build tools/scripts to automate Wi-Fi testing (on Linux systems, coding in languages like Python, C/C++, or Bash).Capture and analyze Wi-Fi traffic using sniffers like Wireshark, OmniPeek, and RF tools.Operate spectrum analyzers, Ixia, Spirent, attenuators, and RF test gear.Document findings, debug test issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for resolution.
Essential RequirementsPractical experience with WLAN protocols: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax.
Working knowledge of security measures: WPA2, WPA3, and 802.1X.
Familiarity with mesh/extender protocols: 802.11k, 802.11v.
Strong grasp of test bed architecture and strategy formulation.Linux proficiency and solid software development skills.Ability to use packet capture tools effectivelyHands-on experience with test equipment: spectrum analyzers, OmniPeek, Ixia, Spirent, attenuators, and RF enclosures.
Strong analytical, debugging, and teamwork skills.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics, communications, or a related technical field.0–3 years of relevant experience—fresh graduates with internships/project work in Wi Fi testing are welcome.
