Join Us at Isuzu — Moving the World, For You Isuzu North America is seeking a driven and experienced Quality Control Line Senior Supervisor, Inspection Section to help launch and lead quality initiatives at our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Greenville County, South Carolina.

About Our Greenville Facility Isuzu is investing approximately $280 million in a new 1 million-square-foot facility strategically located near I-85, I-26, and the Port of Charleston.

This new plant will produce N-Series Gas, N-Series Electric, and F-Series Diesel trucks — with a target capacity of up to 50,000 units annually by 2030.

Our advanced, flexible production lines will support these goals while creating more than 700 new jobs by the facility’s 2027 launch.

Quality Control Line Senior Supervisor Key ResponsibilitiesLead all in-line and final vehicle inspection processes, ensuring safety, quality, and process standards.Develop and manage inspection teams: assign tasks, provide hands-on training, and foster skill growth.Monitor progress to align inspection output with production schedules, resolving bottlenecks to hit key targets.Implement corrective actions to prevent recurring defects, promote continuous process improvements, and support Kaizen and 5S initiatives.Maintain accurate inspection records, traceability logs, audit preparation, and reporting.Enforce safety policies and protocols to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.Participate in cross-functional team communications with engineering, manufacturing, and quality groups to resolve production and labor challenges.Support department and company goals and other duties as assigned.

Required ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent; college education preferred.7+ years of hands-on inspection experience in automotive or commercial vehicle manufacturing (experience with Japanese companies a plus).3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, including quality audits and compliance.Familiarity with lean principles and structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, 8D, PDCA).Proven experience training teams, developing talent, and driving performance improvements.

Preferred Skills & AttributesStrong knowledge of automotive assembly, vehicle components, tools, jigs, fixtures, and testing equipment.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills — able to motivate and guide teams, resolve conflicts, and support a collaborative culture.Ability to troubleshoot quality, safety, and labor issues quickly and effectively.Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy in reporting, audits, and process adherence.Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience creating work instructions and training materials.Willingness to complete approximately 2 months of training in Japan to learn Isuzu’s proprietary processes and philosophy.
