We assist with all forms of family and humanitarian-based immigration, and we never turn any family away due to inability to pay.POSITION DESCRIPTION:The Pathway to Stability Program Manager will report directly to the Director of Refugee Services.
The Program Manager will oversee the Pathway to Stability Program, which provides trauma-informed services to refugees and other eligible immigrants who continue to face challenges achieving self-sufficiency beyond the initial 90-day resettlement period.
The core functions of this position are: (1) program management; (2) specialization; (3) education and advocacy.
The Program Manager supervises a team of case managers who conduct family risk assessments and deliver ongoing support to help clients achieve and maintain self-sufficiency.
Lastly, this position collaborates with community partners while maintaining a strong understanding of client needs and reporting requirements.The ideal candidate for this position is a proactive leader with deep knowledge of refugee resettlement and experiences, commitment to client-centered service, and ability to cultivate lasting community relationships.CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:Program ManagementSupervise, train, and evaluate a team of case managersOversee and audit maintenance of client case files, ensuring notes are complete, accurate and all necessary documentation is included and in compliance with CIRA’s policies and government requirementsComplete case file reviews and reports on timeTravel to our Lincoln and Omaha offices on a weekly basis to ensure everyone on the team is properly supported to be successful.
If no travel can be done certain weeks, ensuring virtual check-ins are done for case managers located off-siteMaintain strong interpersonal communication with supervisees and others on the team through regular scheduled check-ins, follow-ups, email and virtual correspondence, and feedback on documentationAddress supervisees’ areas of improvement through proactive, constructive feedback and provide necessary support for supervisees’ growthCollaborate with the Director of Refugee Services, other program managers, and other CIRA programs to strategize around program needs, efficiency, and cross team referrals for client needsReport on program developments relevant to CIRA’s refugee services work at management, refugee team, and staff meetingsAssist with the preparation and presentation of reports to board members and funders, when relevantMaintain strong, healthy relationships with other programs and services at CIRASpecializationDiscuss and approve self-sufficiency plans with case managers, taking individual client's goals, skills and qualifying resources into accountServe as a resource and provide assistance to CIRA case managers on complex and novel issues that arise in the programProvide internal training and development toolkits to assist CIRA case managers in maintaining and advancing the program’s goals and developmentBeing knowledgeable with all the clients served in the program to ensure case managers are meeting expectationsOffer guidance and strategic direction to case managers who may need additional support navigating difficult client casesFacilitate referrals to healthcare, education, employment, and DHHSIdentify other providers and services that support additional client needs and address the gaps in supportAttend community meetings and stay current with relevant public benefit changes, including social security, Medicaid, and immigration policyEducation and AdvocacyCollaborate with community partners to support and advance program and client needsCollaborate with the Director of Refugee Services and Director of Community Engagement to build community partnerships that connect clients with essential community resourcesRepresent CIRA and the Pathway to Stability Program in community meetings, tabling events, and presentations by communicating program goals, impact, and unmet needs, as applicableAdvocate for client needs and services during community meetings and collaborative initiatives, as applicableProvide ongoing education about the program to raise awareness, support advocacy efforts, and increase community knowledgeStay informed on immigration policies and legal development affecting clients, and advocate for policy changes that support client self-sufficiency and well-beingQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in social work, communications, human services or related fields of study, OR equivalent professional experience in refugee services3 – 5 years of experience in refugee resettlement services, case management, self-sufficiency plans, and refugee-informed careDemonstrated ability to have high attention to detail, excellent case management performance and reporting record, and strong client relationship buildingDemonstrated ability to lead and train othersImpeccable integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directedStrong interpersonal, written, and oral communicator; English fluency is requiredAbility to work occasional nights and weekends as needed (more information in the ‘Working Conditions’ section)Comprehensive knowledge of community resources and services commonly accessed by refugees, parolees, and immigrantsExhibits responsibility through consistent attendance, effective time management, dependability, self-discipline, and flexibilityDeep understanding of and ability to work sensitively and well with people of diverse national, ethnic, cultural, religious, gender identities, and socioeconomic backgroundsStrong commitment to CIRA's mission and values in serving immigrants/refugees/newcomersSelf-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectivelyOpenly supports departmental and organizational changes and demonstrates comfort working in a rapidly growing and evolving organizationFluency in using a computer and Office 365 applications (ex.

Monday – Friday schedule, with some nights and weekends required based on client and program needs.
