Ruby Developer Our well-established wholesale client seeks a Ruby Developer to join their engineering team onsite in Portland, Oregon.

This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in enhancing their application by improving the architecture and scalability of data imports and warehouse automation.

Although this role is primarily remote we are looking for someone in the Portland, OR area that will be able to collaborate in-person on occasion.

Ruby Developer ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement features to optimize purchasing, sales, and warehouse operations.Troubleshoot and resolve production code or platform issues.Research and apply new technologies where appropriate.Interpret and refine non-technical requirements into actionable designs.Identify opportunities for enhancing existing features and workflows.Apply best practices in agile software development, architecture, quality, performance, maintainability, scalability, and robust UI/UX.Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress and addressing concerns promptly.

Ruby Developer QualificationsBachelors Degree in Computer Science.Minimum 5 years’ experience with a production Ruby on Rails application.Proficiency with Postgres or MySQL, and Git.

Preferred:Previous experience with inventory/warehouse automation.Handling and analysis of large datasets.Knowledge of PL/pgSQL, cloud-based infrastructure, and producing and consuming REST and other APIs.Experience with React, Node, and jQuery.
