Mainframe Developer

Mainframe - Application Support and Maintenance Duration: 12 Months (possible extension or conversion) Location: Jersey City, NJ 07310, onsite 3 – days onside Job Description: Key Responsibilities:Provide subject matter expertise and day-to-day support for the legacy IMS Accounts system.Monitor and maintain online and batch components to ensure application stability and performance.Respond to inquiries from business, clients, audits, and technology partners with accuracy and urgency.Ensure availability and integrity of IMS and DB2 databases.Participate in the transition of application data/functions to strategic platforms to enable legacy decommissioning.Independently manage all phases of the SDLC – analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support.Use deep IMS knowledge to troubleshoot complex issues and provide timely resolutions.Collaborate with stakeholders to define operating standards and adhere to compliance/risk protocols.

Qualifications:10+ years of experience with IMS (Database and DC processing).Expert-level proficiency in:IMS, COBOL, DB2, JCL, TSO, MVS, VSAMMFS screens, MQ, NDM, SFTP, ChangeMan, Info/ManSecurity protocols such as RACFStrong experience with both batch and online IMS programming.Proven track record in legacy system analysis and enhancement.Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and engage senior stakeholders effectively.
