Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an X-ray-focused Sr.

Systems Engineer (Physicist) at Sigray, Inc.

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for commissioning complex x-ray equipment and supporting the development of advanced technologies in the field.

The role will involve hands-on work with cutting-edge x-ray source, optics, and detector technologies.

ResponsibilitiesWork with leading semiconductor companies to define new R&D productsEnsure highly complex systems meet acceptance criteriaWork with applications engineers/scientists to set up experimentsDevelop scripts and troubleshoot electrical and controlsTroubleshoot hardware and software issues in a timely manner and effectively communicate solutions to relevant engineers QualificationsBachelors (or preferably Masters or PhD) in Physics or Materials ScienceHands-on familiarity with and characterization of equipmentKnowledge of scripting is preferredFamiliarity with x-ray technology (detectors, x-ray tubes, microscopy) is preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesPrevious experience in semiconductor environments and/or synchrotron technologies is a plus Salary commensurate with experience
