This is an on-call position for working special events throughout the property.
On call officers will be selected for events based on first come first serve bases as events are posted and the number of needed officers is determined.(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)The Event Security Officer will respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and polite mannerAnticipate guest needsThe Event Security Officer will maintain all Ameristar StandardsGreet all guests promptly with a friendly and upbeat attitudeCrowd ControlThe Event Security Officer will Check identification of all possible underage guestsEnforcement of all policy and procedureTheft preventionThe Event Security Officer will protect privacy of guests and team membersGuest safetyPrevent and resolve altercationsIntervention with disruptive guestsRespond and Resolve Alcohol related issuesRecognize potential intoxicated patrons proactivelyRespond and resolve potential intoxicated and/or disruptive guestsMust be able to write reports and have computer knowledgeQualifications(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)Must be friendly, outgoing, professional, trustworthy, tolerant, respectful, and confidentAvailable to work late hoursEffective communicatorWork in an environment subject to varying noise levels, crowds and smoke.Recognize potential security and safety risksEffectively write incident reportsMust not have been convicted of any crime for which registration is requiredHigh school graduate or completion of GED certificatePrevious casino security or law enforcement experience desired.
