Description: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Cybersecurity Analyst to join our security team.

In this key role, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents.

This role involves working closely with IT teams, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the security of our systems, network, and data.

Duties and Responsibilities:Monitor networks and systems for security-related incidents, using tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint detection platformsWork closely with the Cybersecurity Manager to conduct regular security assessments including vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and penetration testingAnalyze security alerts and determine their impact and urgency, escalating incidents as neededInvestigate and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actionsMaintain and enhance incident response plans, playbooks, and documentationAssist in the configuration and tuning of security tools such as firewalls, IDS\IPS, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), patch management, and data loss prevention (DLP) systemsStay updated on the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends, and provide timely reports to stakeholdersWork with compliance teams to support audits and ensure adherence to frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or HIPAAAssist in the education and training of staff on cybersecurity best practices and awareness programsSupport secure software development and\or Dev(Sec)Ops initiatives, where applicable Education and Work Experience:Two-Year undergraduate degree in a technical field or equivalent experienceAt least one Industry Standard Network Certifications such as:CompTIA Security+CompTIA CySA+CompTIA Network+1+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or IT security operations roleFamiliarity with security tools such as SIEM (e.g., Splunk, Arctic Wolf, Sentinel), firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and network security monitoringUnderstanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, VPNs, and common attack vectors (e.g., email phishing, malware, & ransomware)Understanding of cloud security (Preferably Microsoft Azure) best practicesUnderstanding of Zero-Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA)Knowledge of scripting or automation languages, such as Python and PowerShellCommon knowledge\understanding of regulatory compliance and data protection laws (e.g., SOC2, PCI, & ISO) What NSD can provide:Excellent Benefits: Health, Dental, Life, Vision and Disability Options as well as Paid Vacation Days, Sick Days, Holidays and PTO.
