Senior Systems Salesforce Architect

e&e is seeking a Senior Systems Salesforce Architect for a hybrid contract opportunity in Baltimore, MD!

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Architect with a specialization in Salesforce to lead the design, implementation, and integration of enterprise Salesforce solutions.

This role supports the operational and technical needs of a state-based health benefit exchange and associated platforms.

The ideal candidate will provide architectural leadership across cloud infrastructure, DevOps integration, and application performance optimization.

Responsibilities:Architect and lead the implementation of scalable Salesforce solutions for enterprise applications.Integrate Salesforce with external systems and databases, including PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MongoDB.Collaborate with DevOps and operations teams to streamline deployments in AWS cloud environments.Oversee application performance monitoring, issue resolution, and compliance with security policies.Define architecture standards, code guidelines, and system integration strategies.Support release management, environment packaging, and change control processes.Guide technical teams in implementing best practices across the SDLC.Develop architectural models and provide infrastructure optimization recommendations.

Requirements: Minimum Requirements5+ years as a Salesforce Architect or Solutions Expert supporting health or marketplace systems.5+ years integrating Salesforce with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, SQL, MongoDB).4+ years hands-on Salesforce development using Apex, SOQL/SOSL, Visualforce, and custom components.3+ years experience with Salesforce tools (Dashboards, Reports, Validation Rules, Custom Settings).3+ years using metadata deployment tools like ANT and change sets.5+ years experience translating business needs into technical architecture.4+ years experience with REST/SOAP API integrations.Proficiency with tools such as Force.com IDE, Data Loader, and Sublime Text.

Preferred Qualifications 10+ years in Salesforce development/architecture supporting large enterprise systems.5+ years supporting Integrated Eligibility or ACA-related platforms.Strong troubleshooting skills across Middleware, Network, and Security layers.Experience with Salesforce CRM products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Force.com, Chatter).3+ years in a senior technical leadership role.Familiarity with AI-enabled Salesforce tools such as Einstein for automation and analytics.Deep understanding of Salesforce APIs, Communities, and modern JavaScript frameworks.Salesforce Architect Certification or equivalent.Experience adhering to PMO methodologies and enterprise IT governance frameworks.
