Lead Engineer

Job Title Lead Engineer Reports To VP & CFO Job Overview The Lead Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of the engineering department from product design through continuous improvements in quality, costs and manufacturability for all equipment manufactured and sold by DYNA products.

Lead a creative team of engineers designing the DYNA firewood processing and Vortex wood chipper product lines.

Responsibilities and Duties • Lead a team of engineers by example through DYNA’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values.

• Lead the engineering team through new product development and improving existing products that are in production • Establish, maintain and effectively communicate a documented project prioritization with status (Gant Charts) for all engineering functions.

• Supervise team through new concept, design, testing, modification, launch and the continuous improvement of all products.

• Help establish and/or approve training of engineers in CAD, Teamcenter, and DFM.

• Play a key role is planning staffing and onboarding of the engineering department • Work with the Continuous Improvement team to monitor and improve the capabilities of operational manufacturability and the performance of our products in the field.

• Help develop and manage project and departmental budgets.

• Use Solid Edge and Teamcenter for data creation and editing.

• Create and update production & technical documentation.

• Continuously develop the engineering team • Ensure the creation and timely updates of engineering process documentation and best practices.

• Perform all HR related duties in an effective and timely manner Qualifications • BS or equivalent technical skills in engineering.

• Experience in product launches and continuous improvements in quality reliability and costs • Proven supervisory skills.

• Able to communicate effectively, develop and inspire others.

• Physically able to perform basic duties of an engineer.
