Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS, Python, IAC)

Senior DevOps Engineer *Rolling contract with right to hire* Hybrid: 3x a week onsite in Englewood, CO Optomi, in partnership with our premier client in the Telecommunications industry, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep AWS experience to join a collaborative team focused on building secure, automated, and observable infrastructure.

You’ll work cross-functionally to build tooling, guardrails, and automation that empower teams to deploy, monitor, and scale their applications safely and efficiently.

Must-Have Skills:AWS Expertise: Proven experience building and securing infrastructure on AWS, with an understanding of best practices around IAM, VPC, networking, and account-level governanceTerraform: Strong infrastructure-as-code skills to manage cloud environmentsScripting & Automation: Proficiency in scripting, ideally with Python; strong preference for candidates with Python experience, but open to other languages if other skills alignObservability: Experience with AWS CloudWatch and Grafana for monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding What You'll Be Doing:Design and implement secure, scalable AWS infrastructure using TerraformBuild automation and CI/CD pipelines to support rapid development and deploymentWork with CloudWatch and Grafana to establish monitoring, alerting, and performance dashboardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, security, product) to understand use cases and implement best-fit cloud solutionsEstablish policies, guardrails, and standards for managing AWS accounts and workloadsContribute to a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and innovation
