Role Overview:

Under the supervision of the site Lean Champion and in conjunction with various functional leaders, the Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist will be responsible for on time delivery of continuous improvement projects and systems improvements aimed at reducing costs while increasing productivity and efficiency. The role will also act as a coach: helping to teach Lean and Continuous Improvement concepts and ensuring their application by teams and individuals within all departmental groups at the sites.

Core Responsibilities:

Lead/participate on teams and support projects for new and improved systems, processes and equipment that reduce cost, improve efficiency and/or increase revenue whilst maintaining safety and quality standards

Facilitating the root cause analysis process (e.g., Fishbone Analysis, 5 Why's, Concern, Containment, Countermeasure, etc.)

Leading various groups and participating in structured Kaizen workshops (5S specific)

Executing time studies and assisting with the implementation of standard work

Gather and analyze data to assist in identification of future continuous improvement projects.

Assist in developing and maintaining visual factory initiative.

Develop report on progress of assigned continuous improvement projects

Work cross functionally to execute on all project work

Assistance with all other projects as assigned Qualifications:

Required

BS Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field

3-5 Years of Experience in a batch manufacturing environment

Prior experience in project management a plus

Green belt Certification

Previous participation or leadership of continuous improvement projects

Proven track record of effective communication to a wide range of stakeholders (i.e., function managers, directors and department staff)

Proven ability to collaborate and challenge processes in a constructive and effective manner

Proven ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously

Proven demonstration of effective problem solving

Familiarity with statistical methods for data analysis Our Commitment:
