(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.

Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Responsible for managing parking operations on Kennesaw State University campuses and locations. Leads the operations and implementation of parking strategy to support the University's strategic goals and high standards of service, accessibility, transportation sustainability goals, and efficacy management. Assists and coordinates with department leaders in resolving customer issues, special event requests, and parking invoicing. Ensures department effectively communicates operational impacts including special event parking, lot closures, and facility maintenance.Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -

1. Provides leadership and oversight for daily operations of parking division

2. Manages and supports operations staff on the University's campuses

3. Trains staff on citation writing, license plate recognition technology, parking enforcement, special event parking, and customer pay stations

4. Oversees special event parking and vendor contracts and coordinate staffing and events

5. Advises leadership on shuttle needs for off-campus parking lots and parking policy changes

6. Coordinates with Campus Services Facility Maintenance Manager and team on maintenance and facility repair work

7. Requests, collects, and analyzes operational data to inform decision making and operational improvement processesRequired Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Other Required Qualifications

Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license

Required Experience

Five (5) years of parking management experience and two (2) years of experience working for a university, municipal, county, regional, state, or similar public agency.Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP), Certified Parking Professional (CPP), and/or Certified Auxiliary Service Professional (CASP)

Preferred Educational Qualifications

An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in parking operations in a university environmentKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

SKILLS

Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills

Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, parking management software and/or programs)
